The search starts in the Mediterranean sea - and as the name suggests - "Underworld" takes you to many places under the surface - with lots of underwater locations. Lara Croft is searching for Avalon - hoping to find the truth behind her mothers' disappearance. The plot picks up after the events of Legend. There is also a manual saving, but it's mostly redundant - the autosave seems more than adequate. Autosave happens at regular intervals and often. Sure, they provide a challenge, but you will make it after a few times. Time sequences are also here, but unlike "Anniversary" - they are reasonable. Just like other games in the series, the core of the game is its navigational puzzles - you have to figure how to jump, swing, push, pull and balance on ledges to move from one point to another. I was never great at action-adventure platformers and found this to offer a good balance to players like me - challenging at places, but probably the easiest of the three. I played "Anniversary" last year and "Legend" the year before - and overall, I think this is the best of the three. I can see why Crystal Dynamics went on to create the reboots.ฤก5h 56m PlayedThis was my last game in the Legend Trilogy. A solid game with some beautiful graphics, but the screen is staring to burn and curl as the edges of some scenes. Frotunately the auto-save moments are frequant and sesibly placed, meaning you never have to go back far or repeat lots of tasks just to get another go at that puzzel you haven't figured out. The 3D camera also gets confused in tight spaces or when stood against a wall, forcing blind jumps and a problem with field of view in terms of options and planning. There are some flaws with jumping - the interface does not adjust quick enough to your choice of direction when making rapid jumps causing you to plummet to your death on numberous occasions. Half typical TR nonesense (who builds all these epic world ending tombs and never uses then?) the other half of the story develpos the end of Legend and comes to a nice conclusion. Improved driving, improved combat (but still a little too easy) multiple ways to success in the puzzle platforming and a decent story. Generally, this Trilogy is fairly good but nothing beyond average.16h 12m PlayedMagnificent set pieces as usual. If you are into puzzles do not miss this. It is just like a puzzle game that will take you about 30 minutes to complete. A nice little surprise was a little extra chapter at Croft Manor as a part of Legend and Anniversary games. Underworld is the worst when it comes to jumping and it has strange camera movements that made me almost sick a few times. I spent quite a lot of time trying to jump and land where I intended to. The most common thing for all three of them are bad jumping controls. Underworld is probably the best of all three games. Legend is a shorter, average experience, while Anniversary I found the worst of all three due to a really uninteresting and thin story (I was bored far before the end). Legend is a shorter, average experience, while It is difficult to give an overall opinion about this one since there are three games included.
